Andrea has posted here about the user manual: https://2014.sf.wordcamp.org/forums/topic/user-manual/ but I think it would be a good time to have a broader discussion about creating useful end-user documentation for WordPress. The devhub and handbook projects are approaching completion and the docs team can start to shift its focus to thinking about how we can better service users.

I’d like to have a discussion about creating a better docs experience for WordPress users. With a view to someday having something shiny like:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/firefox
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop.html
    https://support.google.com/mail/?hl=en#topic=3394144

etc etc. i.e. provide the type of excellent user support and docs experience that the platform powering 25% of the web should have.

I hope that we also discuss how the docs and support team can work together on this project, as a shining example of cross-team collaboration <3

+1 – yes, it does tie in to a bigger overall topic. 🙂
